Excellent roadside motel. Reasonable rates on clean rooms.

5 star, based on price/benifit, Great and friendly communication by staff. First when I called a couple weeks prior to stay, the again on arrival. Room was very clean with a fridge, coffee maker, microwave and nice hot shower. There was even a stocked bookshelf in our room. Nice touch! -Our room was good size. Comfortable bed and nice pillows. Also, the bath towels were large and good quality. Not those cheap scratchy Terry cloth towels you normally get in roadside motels. Good drinkable water, not hard, smelly well water.
They reserved a room for us over the phone on our trip from downstate during the busiest time of the year for them. All other hotels in the area were packed. We didn't get in until late. Our keys were waiting for us in an envelope on the office door. The room was clean and the service was great! I would recommend Hillcrest highly to anyone visiting Escanaba or the surrounding areas.
